After more than two years of research and development, SEA’s sister company, Skysource, won the Water Abundance XPRIZE powered by Australian Aid and Tata Group. The interdisciplinary team of architects, scientists, and engineers bested 97 talented teams from 27 countries by being the only competitors to generate more than 2,000 liters of water per day from the atmosphere using 100 percent renewable energy, at a cost of no more than 2 cents per liter. The $1.5M purse is being invested to productize the winning WEDEW technology and bring it to vulnerable communities around the world.
